[RL with Harumi - the official yaoi fangirl of Alexander the Great.]
Rider waited patiently outside of his house, listening for any strange sounds. There was a war going on, and even if there would almost certainly be no attacks in the daylight, it would still be nice to have Harumi in his company as soon as possible.

Waver was inside reading, the McKenzies were out playing bingo - it was a perfect setup to relax and just enjoy being alive again. Maybe they would go to the arcade, he'd passed one on his way through the town that held his interest...

She really should be here soon. Of course he'd have to take her wishes into account before they did anything.

God knows how she got there but she did, and wasn't pleasantly surprised to find that she didn't have to knock and wonder if she was in the right place or just completely bothering a stranger. Rider was outside though, and that solved all of those problems. She gave him a small wave when she got there, even if they were in speaking-distance for greetings now.

"Good, you've arrived!" A grin. "Come inside and settle in. What's mine is yours."

For the record, nothing in that house actually belonged to him; it was all either Waver's or the host family Waver had hypnotized into believing that Waver was their grandson. The sentiment was still there.

Harumi adjusts her glasses, looking around. "You should be careful who you say that to. If I was some sort of super-villain I would take that as an invite to steal all of your stuff. I'm not so it's kind of invalid but my point still stands!" Or something like that, you know. She peeks her head inside the door when she gets to it before going in altogether.

"If you were a super-villain, you would have to be incredibly foolish to walk into my trap - wait, is it supposed to be the other way around?" Rider wonders aloud.

The McKenzies' home is relatively small; it looks about what you'd expect an elderly couple's home to look like. Tidy, clean, possessing of a small china cabinet over in the dining room, and not really the glorious home of a king. Still, he sweeps inside like it's his throne room and not a living room with a paisley-patterned couch.

"Villains launch the traps, not the good guys. The good guys always have to find the honorable way to deal with it!" She looks around, a kind of skeptical look going onto her face. "I thought it was gonna be like a castle inside."

"I didn't have time to have a castle built," Rider answers with a shrug, flopping down in the center of the couch. Home sweet home. "But this cozy place is good in its own way, right?"

Harumi came over and sat down on the couch next to him. "Guess not... It is! I think it'd probably be really lonely feeling if it was all stone walls, even if it'd be cool." She looks around for a moment, then to Rider. "So did you have something planned or should we just come up with something to do?"

"No plans at all, except that maybe we should go to the arcade and play Admiral's Grand Strategies. Other than that, I am completely flying by the seat of my pants."

Of course he's wearing pants right now. Waver made sure to impress the importance of that upon him.

"How do you play Admiral's Grand Strategies?" She tilts her head slightly, then pushes her glasses up with her middle finger. "After that you should take me on a tour of the town!"

"Admiral's Grand Strategies, let's see. I think you call it a real-time-strategy game, like 'Starcraft', which is another excellent game that I should purchase at some point when Waver lets me have the funds." Grin. "You will have no better guide than me! Although I don't know where almost anything is."

"Oh! Okay." Harumi had heard of Starcraft but hadn't really played it-- but that was okay. "That's the best way to take a tour though! People who know where everything is tend to only show you the stuff that they want people to see. If it's a mystery on both parts you get a better truth!" Harumi smiles back, then taps a finger on her lips. "So do we leave now or relax here first?"

"My Master said he might say hello. It depends on how badly you want to embarrass him," he replied. Rider himself wouldn't mind embarrassing him somewhat. Not too badly. "He's holed up in his room studying right now."

"I'll... try not to. Sometimes I say things that I don't think are embarrassing but he might." Well, it was kind of true. Sometimes she did. Most of the time she did it on purpose, though.

Waver really had kind of been dreading this. There was a reason that he was holed up in his room, after all, but it would be rude not to at least introduce himself.

When he heard voices downstairs, he took a breath, steeled himself for imminent embarrassment, and went down.

"You must be Miss Harumi?"

Hello, I am British and stuffy.
